The material of the FSC-certified product has been made from wood from ecologically, ethically and socially well-managed forests. The use of the sign also supports responsible forest management. The FSC Wood Origin Chain confirms that certified wood is not mixed with uncontrolled material at any stages of the transportation, manufacturing and distribution chain. The management chain also prevents the use of controversial non-certified material sources in the supply chain. A wooden cutting
board is good to treat with oil from time to time.

We recommend
using linseed oil, as many cooking oils may become rancid and a strong scented
liquid paraffin may leave its scent on the board.

On the first
oil treatment it is good to use plenty of oil. Let the oil soak into the board
and add more oil until the board doesn’t soak more. Wipe off the excess oil
with a towel.

Wash the
wooden cutting board with soap water after each use. Wooden cutting boards are
never to be put into the dishwasher. Rince the board with hot water and wipe
dry.

Leave the
board standing on its head, so that the water runs down and can’t soak into the
board. If a wooden cutting board soaks a lot of liquids, it might become uneven
and start cracking as the liquid inside it expands.
